Dr. Atanu Bhuyan is an Assistant Professor in the area of Operations and Supply Chain at the Indian Institute of Management Jammu. He holds a Ph.D. from the Indian Institute of Management Kashipur.

Before pursuing his Ph.D., Dr. Bhuyan worked as a design engineer at Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, a junior research fellow at IIT Gandhinagar/Atomic Energy Regulatory Board, and an engineering consultant in Kuwait. Following his doctoral studies, he gained two years of teaching experience at Jindal Global Business School, Sonipat, Haryana.

His research work has been published in reputed peer-reviewed journals. He has also presented his research at prestigious conferences, including POMS, DSI, INFORMS-TSL, IEEE, EURO, and SOM.
