Dr. Lalit, an assistant professor at the Indian Institute of Management Jammu, holds a Ph.D. in Management Information Systems from IIM Calcutta, where his dissertation explored three different socio-technical phenomena through the lens of Sociomateriality. With research published in prestigious journals like the International Journal of Information Management (ABDC A*), he employs diverse theoretical and methodological approaches to investigate the intricate dynamics of human-ICT interactions.
A graduate of IIT Guwahati, with additional studies at IIFM and TISS, his career bridges the corporate, development, and academic sectors, demonstrating a nuanced understanding of technological and social dimensions. Beyond academics, he finds balance
through painting and yoga, cultivating a holistic perspective that informs his teaching and research.

His academic expertise is complemented by professional experience as a Prime Minister’s Rural Development Fellow (PMRDF), during which he implemented ICT-based projects in underdeveloped districts, gaining unique insights into societal-level socio-technical challenges and as Deputy Manager at Reliance Communications PVT. LTD where he worked on a large-scale IT projects as software developer. Dr. Lalit teaches courses on Management Information Systems, Social Media Analytics, Business Dynamics and Systems Thinking, and Data Modeling using R/Python/Excel.
