Dr Naveen is an Assistant Professor in the area of Business Policy, Strategy & Entrepreneurship at IIM Jammu. He received his doctoral degree in Strategic Management from IIM Calcutta, Kolkata. He also holds a B.Tech in Chemical Engineering from IIT Roorkee, Roorkee. His doctoral work titled "Mundane Practices and the Pursuit of Strategy" studies the role of traditionally inconsequential actors (in strategy) such as frontline workers and external actors, while giving special attention to the material arrangement, i.e. the material turn in strategy in reinvigorating the ‘what’, and ‘how’ of strategy using the practice lens. He has a sustained research interest in practice lens that focuses on the ‘doings’ and ‘sayings’ in the practice of the practitioners.

He has presented his research at various international conferences, including the European Group for Organizational Studies (EGOS), Process Organization Studies (PROS), and Strategic Management Society (SMS). He has also attended various international workshops, including the Academy of Management (AOM) and Strategic Management Society (SMS).

Prior to IIM Jammu, He has more than three years of industry experience in the EPC industry, where he took various roles, including process, estimation, and project engineering, while being deployed in Gurugram, India and Den Haag, Netherlands. Apart from industry, Naveen has one year of teaching experience at OP Jindal Global University, Sonipat.
